Supported by

Project for development of educational programme

Project background:

UCL Professionshøjskoler og Erhvervsakademi, Strength Academy, Nyborgskolen (DK), Kvibergnässkolen (S) and Voksne for Barn (N) wish to develop and roll out a crosscurricular program and implement it in SEN-schools and -classes (Special Education Needs) throughout the Nordic countries, that will work as content for literature, history, e.g. math and other courses, but at the same time work as Positive Education/curriculum for mental health. The development of the program and the 3-year project period will be supported by Nordplus. The well-being dimension VIA-strengths are a part of Positive Psychology and are 24 evidence-based character-strengths, that we all share, across borders, cultures, language and religion. Read more about the VIA-strengths here.

Ivar the Boneless was a Viking leader and commander who invaded what is now England. According to the Tale of Ragnar Lodbrok, he was the son of Ragnar Lo›brok and Aslaug. His brothers included Björn Ironside, Halfdan Ragnarsson, Hvitserk, Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye and Ubba. The sagas describe him as lacking bones. It could be that he had what we now call Ehlers Danlos, which causes recurrent joint dislocations and joint hypermobility, and is a genetic collagen deficiency.
